An early push out of the opening faceoff and a couple of late-period goals were enough Sunday night to send the North Iowa Bulls to a 4-2 win over the Granite City Lumberjacks in a decisive Game 3 of the NA3HL Western Division finals, and the second overall seed at next week's 3HL Silver Cup championship tournament.

The NA3HL Western Division playoff championship will come down to one final game after the North Iowa Bulls' 3-2 loss Saturday night to the Granite City Lumberjacks, a loss that tied the best-of-3 series at a game apiece.

A four-goal scoring outburst, including three in the first three minutes of the third period, helped push the North Iowa Bulls past Granite City to open the NA3HL West Division playoff finals Friday night.

Twin City scored three straight goals in an eight-and-a-half-minute span to give the North Iowa Bulls a good scare Saturday night, but the Bulls answered with a four-goal flurry to put the Steel out of the playoffs with an opening-round sweep for the third time in the last four years.
