North Iowa Bulls alumnus goaltender Kyle Kozma has signed a contract to play professional hockey with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, in Pensacola, Florida.
Kozma, a native of Vaughn, Ontario, joined the Bulls after NAHL stops in Aberdeen and Minnesota. He laced up for 11 games to conclude the 2021-22 season with the Bulls in their first NAHL season.

Kozma spent the last four seasons playing NCAA DIII College Hockey at Trine University, in Angola, Indiana. In his collegiate career, Kozma had a huge effect on the Thunder’s NCAA Hockey program. He played 70 games in four seasons and set program records for wins (40), shutouts (9), and wins in a season (15). Kozma provided a boost in the net for a program that only started playing NCAA Hockey in 2017.
The Ice Flyers compete in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and has seen tremendous success in Florida’s panhandle. Currently in their 17th season, the Ice Flyers are tied for the most SPHL Postseason Championships in league history with four, most recently winning the President’s Cup in 2021.
The Bulls congratulate Kyle on joining the proud lineage of professional hockey players coming from Mason City, and wish Kyle luck as he begins his professional hockey career.
