xNorth Iowa rolls over St. Louis, 10-3

The St. Louis Jr. Blues had trouble finding ways to stop the xNorth Iowa Bulls, which beat Jr. Blues, 10-3.

Timothy Santopoalo was all over the ice for xNorth Iowa, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Santopoalo scored 9:36 into the second period to make the score 5-1 xNorth Iowa. Matthew Fosdick assisted on the tally.

The Bulls forced St. Louis\’ goalies to work without much rest, totaling 59 shots and forcing 49 saves. Billy Hindle made 30 stops and Cooper Cothran made 19. xNorth Iowa outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Bulls average 6.8 goals per contest. Team\’s forwards weren\’t the only contributers offensively, and the team\’s defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

xNorth Iowa also got points from Ron Lindgren, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Kyle Krueger, who also had one goal and two assists, Matt Kroska, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Fosdick, who also registered one goal and one assist, Cameron Brown, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Brandon Anderson, who also had one goal and one assist. xNorth Iowa also had goals scored by Chris Howard, Richie Marenis, and Conor Jonasson, who scored one goal each. More assists for xNorth Iowa came via Wesley Iverson, who had one, Chancie Hanson, who had four, and Zach Jones and Logan Murphy, who contributed two a piece.

The Jr. Blues were helped by Adam Roeder, who finished with one goal. Roeder scored 19:42 into the first period to make the score 3-1 xNorth Iowa. Mike Lozano picked up the assist. Others who scored for St. Louis included Andrew Kovacich and maxwell cobb, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis were Cameron McAtee, Adam Havener, Christian Argyros, and Steven Farina, who each chipped in one.

Chris Amsden rejected 21 shots on goal for xNorth Iowa. The Bulls incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. St. Louis incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
