Wednesday’s Game at Willmar Postponed

Nov 27, 2019

WILLMAR, Minn. – The first major winter storm of the hockey season has cost North Iowa and Willmar their scheduled Thanksgiving Eve matchup on the WarHawks’ home ice. Wednesday’s game has been postponed due to the hazardous travel conditions. A Winter Storm Warning was in place throughout the morning along the Bulls’ travel route to Willmar.

The game will be rescheduled, but no makeup date has yet been announced. North Iowa’s Black Friday matchup against the New Ulm Steel is still on for this Friday, though another round of winter storms may make travel conditions a consideration again this weekend.

Friday’s game is the final Friday night matchup in the “Barn” for the Bulls, and is the team’s annual Teddy Bear Toss night. Fans who bring a stuffed toy to toss onto the ice after the Bulls’ first goal will receive $2 off their game-night admission, and all toys tossed onto the ice will be donated to the Salvation Army.
