Tommy Heinzman Commits to Lindenwood!

May 14, 2015

The North Iowa Bulls are proud to announce that Bulls forward Tommy Heinzman has decided on Lindenwood University. The Lindenwood University Lions are an ACHA Division 1 program. Heinzman, from St.Louis, MO had quite the career in the NA3HL. In four years and 120 NA3HL regular season games played Tommy amassed 104 points on 41 goals ad 63 assists. A mid season acquisition by North Iowa from his hometown St. Louis Jr. Blues, Tommy recorded 7 goals and 4 assists in 16 regular season games. Eight of Tommy's 11 points during the regular season were on the power play. Tommy chipped in 4 assists in 8 NA3HL playoff games for the Bulls. "Tommy was an addition to our team that we felt helped solidify our power play unit and we were not disappointed. Tommy was very effective on the power play for us and has an uncanny ability to find space and teammates with it that result in scoring opportunities."
Heinzman on his time with the Bulls, "I was lucky enough to go up to North Iowa about half way through the year after playing in St. Louis and no doubt it was one of the best decision I've made in my life. I came in not knowing a single person and by the end I have 25 people that I can call brothers for the rest of my life. To go and win the National Championship was just icing on the cake. We talked about it every single day and every practice. To be honest my roommate and I (Jake Johnson) on the two week road trip talked about how we were gonna win it probably every day of the trip in between him and myself. I would like to thank the whole North Iowa organization and most of all the coaches for taking so much of their time to teach us and be with us everyday at the rink. Go Bulls !"
Tommy Heinzman is the 9th player from the 2014-15 team to make a collegiate choice. The North Iowa Bulls thank Tommy for his commitment to our program and wish him the best of luck at Lindenwood University.
