Robert Click was a well travelled defenseman when he arrived in Mason City, Iowa late in the 2014-15 season. Click had a reason to be here. His goal was to win an NA3HL Silver Cup, an opportunity that had escaped him two years previous at the hands of the North Iowa Bulls. Rob Click recently made his NCAA Division 3 commitment to St. Johns University of the MIAC. St. Johns head coach Doug Schueller had this to say about landing Click, "We are excited to have Rob join the SJU Hockey team. Rob has played at many different levels and has been through a lot of adversity while re-energizing his love for hockey in North Iowa. Rob will bring some size and grit to our blue line, not to mention the experience of winning a National Championship." While Rob's goal of capturing the Silver Cup did not materialize he did in fact play a major role in the winning of North Iowa's second National Championship in three years. Paired with his partner Joe Kleven, Click ate up huge minutes on the back end for North Iowa and played in all situations. "Rob came to us at the perfect time, we needed another veteran defenseman that was right handed to add to our powerplay. He added a physical presence along the wall and in front of our net and was effective killing penalties." Rob recorded 2 assists and was +5 in six regular season games with the Bull's. The playoffs are where Rob's offensive impact was felt. He tallied 1 goal and 11 assists in 13 games including the USA Hockey National Championships and was +11. "This type of effort was what we expected from Rob's experience as a player." "Coming to North Iowa renewed my passion for the game, winning consistently and having fun doing it was something that made all the hard work worth it. I am excited to be entering the next phase of my development at St. Johns." Rob Click is the second North Iowa Bull to nab an NCAA commitment from the 2014-15 season.
