Michael Mesic Commits to Bentley

Mason City, IA- North Iowa Bulls alumnus forward Michael Mesic has committed to play NCAA DI College Hockey at Bentley University, in Waltham, Massachusetts. 

Mesic spent the 2021-22 season in Mason City and suited up for all 60 games of the Bulls’ first NAHL season in Mason City. That season, Mesic posted 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points to lead the Bulls in overall scoring. His goal total was third on the Bulls, only behind current Long Island University forward Carter Rapalje and current St. Norbert College forward Byron Hartley. His assist total was second on the Bulls that season behind only current Army Black Knight defenseman Sean Vlasich. Only one Bull, Logan Dombrowsky in the 2022-23 season (19G/36A/55P), has exceeded Mesic’s single season Bulls’ NAHL Points total.

The Fort Myers born, Michigan raised forward earned a roster spot for the United States Hockey League’s Lincoln Stars the next season and helped the Stars to the Clark Cup Playoffs. The next season, he made his NCAA DI Hockey debut with Northern Michigan University, where he suited up for 26 games and recorded 9 points. This season, Mesic returned to the USHL, now playing for the Youngstown Phantoms. He’s recorded 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points in 37 games. 

Bentley University is located in Waltham, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Atlantic Hockey Association.
