Mallonee Named Central Division Star of the Week

Oct 19, 2016

MASON CITY, Iowa – The North Iowa Bulls have won seven hockey games in a row, but that’s not the only streak they’re on.

Sean Mallonee (Kennewick, Wash./North Iowa Bulls) was named NA3HL’s Central Division Star of the Week. The second year forward is the third consecutive Bull to be recognized by the league. Mallonee scored three goals and added three assists in the weekend sweep of La Crosse and finished with a +4 rating.

“Sean had a great weekend for us offensively, and is beginning to string games together where he has been productive.  Sean is a tenacious competitor, and he leaves it on the ice every night,” said Head Coach Todd Sanden.

North Iowa will look to extend their winning streak this weekend in Chicago as they take on the Bulldogs in a three game series. Friday’s contest will begin at 8 p.m., Saturday will be a 5:30 p.m. face-off and Sunday’s season series finale will begin at noon. You can catch all the action on HockeyTV.
