Jacks fall to North Iowa after surprising comeback

Feb 21, 2014

North Iowa snuck out a late victory against Granite City last night on the road. The Bulls beat Granite City coming from behind on three third-period goals. After falling behind 2-0 after two periods, Joe Kleven got the Bulls on the board in the third period with an off-speed shot from the right point that handcuffed the Granite City goaltender. The Bulls then capitalized on their second and final power play opportunity of the game when Brandon Anderson converted a net-front feed from Matt Kroska who found Anderson with a great pass from below the goal line. Logan Murphy tallied the game winner assisted by Kyle Krueger on a wicked shot from the high slot that beat the Granite City tender over the shoulder. "After the stretch of games we have had lately it was encouraging that our guys played with resolve and gutted it out and found a way to win."

The Bulls are back on home-ice this Friday at 7:30pm! Come on out and support your Bulls as they gear up for the 2014 Silver Cup Playoffs in March. Goo Bulls!
