Huge game by Santopoalo boosts xNorth Iowa over Minnesota, 11-3

Tim Santopoalo had one goal and three assists to lead the xNorth Iowa Bulls to an 11-3 victory over the Minnesota Flying Aces.

Santopoalo scored 13:52 into the first period to make the score 5-0 xNorth Iowa. Matt Kroska assisted on the tally. Santopoalo dished an assist on Wesley Iverson\’s goal that made the score 1-0 xNorth Iowa at 6:48 into the first period. He then added assists on Richie Marenis\’s goal at 10:41 into the first and on Marenis\’ goal at 41 seconds into the second.

xNorth Iowa found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Bulls were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.
