On Saturday, October 18th the North Iowa Bulls salvaged a weekend split with NA3HL West Division leading Granite City. Joe Burgmeier opened the scoring 3:42 into the first period with assists going to Brett Gravelle and Ryan Durant. Granite City evened the score to end the first period. It was all Bulls in the second with Brett Gravelle and Burgmeier each finding the back of the net. Up 3-1 going into the third the Bull's goal was to stay on the gas and play responsible. 5:43 into the third period Dylan Zins connected and just 9 seconds later Zach Johnston struck for the Bull's 5th goal of the night. Bull's defensemen figured prominently in the scoring with Joe Kleven getting 3 assists and Evan Mills and Connor Bump each adding a pair in the 5-2 win.
In Friday's 3-2 loss Dylan Zins and Joe Burgmeier each scored for the Bull's with Austin Jackson, Joe Kleven, Adam Orn, and Brett Gravelle notching helpers.
The North Iowa Bulls return to regular season action Thursday, October 23rd at Twin City, 7pm start time. On Friday, October 24th and Saturday the 25th the North Iowa Bulls open up their home schedule at the North Iowa Events Center Ice Arena for a pair of games against the St. Louis Jr. Blues, 7:30pm start time both nights. There will be a pre-game tailgate starting at 5:30pm on Friday with $1 drafts, inflatables for the kids courtesy of the North Iowa Youth Center, and fun tailgate games! See you on Friday!
