CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHER: This weekend’s action marks the first time in uniform for two North Iowa Bulls newcomers joining the team from higher-level squads – former Everett Silvertip Jack Lambert becomes the Bulls’ second player ever with major-junior experience, following current Waldorf Warrior Sean Mallonee. Lambert played four WHL games for Everett after coming up with the Jr. Silvertips of the NAPHL. Jase Sofo is also joining the Bulls this week after playing four games for the Amarillo Bulls, notching three assists. Sofo, a native of the Toledo, Ohio area, has playing experience with several storied youth programs in Michigan, including Belle Tire, Honeybaked and Compuware.
“WENDY” WITH HIS FIRST: Gavin Wendorf’s goal from the left point in Saturday’s game was his first as a North Iowa Bull, and the first of his junior career – the former Bloomington Jefferson standout has 65 junior games under his belt, including 11 in the NA3HL with Willmar, but had not scored in a junior game until last night.
