THE RUBBER MATCH WITH ROCHESTER: Though the two teams aren’t on each other’s official schedules this season due to COVID-related travel restrictions, it’s the third time the Grizzlies and Bulls have seen each other this year. The teams split their preseason meetings, with each team winning its home outing in September. The Bulls earned a 5-2 victory on September 19, leading by as many as four goals. Tommy Duren’s chip-in tally four minutes in gave the Bulls the only lead they would need. However, Rochester would get the 3-2 victory the following week after getting contributions from Jameson Folden, Kyle Brown and Logan Kroyman. A rebound goal from Shota Kaneko and a goal from Hayden Fox in the final minute put the Bulls on the board in the loss. The teams combined to go 0-for-9 in the matchup in Mason City, but each team scored a pair of power play goals in the matchup on the Grizzlies’ home ice.
