From New York to North Iowa

Jul 18, 2011

Meet Noah Anderson, the first D-man to sign with the North Iowa Bulls!  Although home for Noah is Groveland, New York, he has been on the road living in Michigan for 3 years while playing for Bantam major AAA team Little Caesers,  Midget Minor U16 AAA team Belle Tire, and Midget Minor U16 AAA team Victory Honda.

Noah’s mental game on the ice is echoed by his commitment to his academics as well.  With a 3.76 GPA Noah finds his academic success to be just as important to reach his goals of continuing his hockey career while attending a D1 college.

Noah quotes, “I am very excited to be signed by the North Iowa Bulls. I appreciate the confidence Coach Sanden has shown in me.”

Bulls Head Coach Todd Sanden comments, “Noah Anderson was referred to the North Iowa Bulls from the Soo Eagles of the NOJHL.  Tom Farnquist, a Soo scout suggested that Noah might be a good fit after partaking in an open camp for the Eagles and doing well.  The Soo Eagles are a Tier II Canadian junior team.  I also watched some video of Noah at the Green Bay Gamblers USHL tryout and liked what I saw. Noah made it all the way through the camp to play in the All Star game which was eight games in 4 days.  Noah looks to be a strong skating defenseman with very good ice vision.  Utilizing these skills against physically stronger players will only elevate his game.  Noah also is very good academically which is important to our club, academics is a very crucial component of being a successful hockey player.”

Noah and other North Iowa Bulls will be reporting to Mason City in early September for the Bulls inaugural season.
