Mason City, IA – North Iowa Bulls defenseman & Captain Grant Harder has been named the NA3HL’s Star of the Week for the West Division’s season opening week.
In the North Iowa Bulls’ two games against the Alexandria Blizzard, in which the Bulls earned a win and an overtime point, the McCook Lake, SD, native piled up a whopping 7 assists from the Bulls’ blue line. He also spearheaded the team’s power play unit to an astounding 5 for 8 on their power play attempts in the season opening series, posting the team at the top of the NA3HL’s power play percentage list with a 62.5% success rate.
Among NA3HL defensemen, Grant Harder’s 7 points are 9th in the league and his 3.5 points per game have him atop the league after the season’s first weekend. His 4 power play assists are tied for the most of any skater in the NA3HL regardless of position.

Grant is the first player to earn a Star of the Week honor for the Bulls this season.
