MASON CITY, Iowa – The North Iowa Bulls won’t get to take the ice at home on Black Friday this season – that honor goes to the Mason City Toros, who face off against the Willmar WarHawks this week. However, the Bulls get to put on the home sweaters for Saturday’s game as they welcome the Austin Bruins to town for the “Black Friday Weekend Battle.”
Fans are encouraged to wear black for the game in celebration of the Black Friday weekend, and special-edition black t-shirts will be available for purchase at Brutus’s Locker Room Sponsored by the Christie Door Store. The Bulls and Bruins will be meeting for the sixth time this season, bringing the “border battle” between the teams to its halfway point for the season.
Saturday’s game is set for a 7:30 p.m. opening faceoff at the Mason City Arena.
