Bulls Shutout in Minot

Minot, ND- The North Iowa Bulls opened up their final series before Christmas break with a 5-0 defeat in Minot against the Minotauros. 

The bulk of the damage came in the first 9:28 of the first period. Minot piled on four goals in that time. They started with a power play goal from Joel Lehtinen. Trevor Stachowiak, Adam Mahler, and Will Dawson all tacked on goals to extend the lead and chase Santo Simmchen from the crease. After four goals went in on twelve shots on net, Dylan Johnson entered the net and recorded 35 shots on 36 more shots on net from the Minotauros. 

The lone Minot goal in the second period came off the stick of Joel Lehtinen for his second goal of the night. 

Former Halifax Moosehead Brady James stopped all 15 shots he faced from the North Iowa Bulls for his second shutout of the season. 

Tyler Starich made his NAHL debut for the North Iowa Bulls, coming up from the Gilmour Academy after being recently tendered. 

The Bulls close the first half of their season on Saturday night in Minot. Puck drops at 7:35 PM.
