Bulls roar back for OT Victory!

The North Iowa Bulls pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the xTwin City Steel on a clutch goal by Matt Kroska.

North Iowa overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bulls trailed 3-0 after a power play goal by Twin City's Jace Childs at 57 seconds in the second period. North Iowa tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Conor Jonasson at 18:01 in the third period.

Kroska was all over the ice for the Bulls, as he tallied two goals in the win. Kroska found the back of the net 16:10 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Twin City and again while 48 seconds into the fourth to make the score 5-4 North Iowa.

North Iowa forced the Steel goalie Jackson Germaine to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

North Iowa additionally got points from Chancie Hanson, who also registered one goal and one assist. North Iowa also got a goal from Joe Kleven as well. More assists for North Iowa came via Logan Murphy, who had two and Zach Jones, Richie Marenis, Dominik Florian, Ian Penvose, Brandon Anderson, and Trey Gardner, who each chipped in one.

Twin City excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Others who scored for Twin City included Cory Johnson and Dylan Lincoln, who scored one goal each. In addition, Twin City received assists from Sam Basich, who had two and Tyler Lodin, Jon Plaszcz, Ben Ihrie, Jackson Bond, Isaac Hale, and Chase Myers-Beck, who contributed one a piece.

Chris Amsden recorded 21 saves for the Bulls. North Iowa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jackson Germaine made 44 saves for the Steel on 49 shots. Twin City incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.

The Bulls and Steel will face-off again tomorrow night at 7:30pm in St. Paul. The Bulls return home this Sunday at 5pm vs the Alexandria Blizzard. Goo Bulls!
