MASON CITY, Iowa – As the 2019-20 regular season nears its end, a final jersey auction remains on the North Iowa Bulls’ calendar. The Bulls are proud to reveal the design of the final jersey auction of the season, with proceeds to benefit Families of the Fallen, based in Forest City. The jerseys will be worn the weekend of February 28 and 29 against the Peoria Mustangs, and will be auctioned off to benefit Families of the Fallen following the Saturday night game.
Families of the Fallen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting the families of those who have died in service to their community and country as members of the United States Armed Forces, law enforcement, firefighting, or emergency medical services. The organization’s objective is to facilitate networking between the families of these fallen heroes, and to bring together living heroes in the military and first-responder community to support the families of those who have died in their respective lines of duty.
“Families of the Fallen, Inc. is honored to be a part of this event with the North Iowa Bulls hockey team,” said Andrew Klein, the organization’s President and Co-Founder. “The jerseys look amazing and we are thankful to the North Iowa Bulls for supporting our Mission.”
The design features the same black and gray colors as the Families of the Fallen logo, along with the organization’s three-colored stripes – red in honor of firefighters and EMS personnel, blue in honor of law enforcement, and green in honor of the U.S. military. Black-and-white trim will surround the large, bold gray numbers on the back and upper sleeve of each jersey.
The Bulls have already held two jersey auctions this season, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and the North Iowa Youth Center.
