Bulls Host Super Pair of Showdowns With Wings

Jan 4, 2022

MASON CITY, Iowa – North Iowa Bulls fans only have four chances to see their team on home ice this month, and two of those chances are on the schedule for this weekend as the Aberdeen Wings make their second trip of the season to the River City. Friday’s game is the Bulls’ “Hockey Talks” game, in commemoration of Mental Wellness Month. The Bulls are inviting fans to pledge four dollars to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Iowa chapter for each goal that North Iowa scores in the game – donations will, in part, provide members of the Bulls organization with specialized training on suicide awareness. Fans can fill out their pledge forms in person at Friday’s game, or online here – those who complete their pledge and donation will be entered into a drawing for gift cards of up to $50 from local merchants.

Saturday’s game will feature appearances from D.C. Comics superhero characters, after the popular Marvel characters’ appearance at the Mason City Toros’ home game Saturday afternoon. At both games, local businesses will be on hand to visit with potential applicants at the Bulls’ “Super Job Fair” from an hour before to an hour following the opening puck drop.

Both Friday and Saturday’s games are slated to start at 7:30 p.m. at the Mason City Arena. Tickets for this weekend’s games, and all North Iowa home games, are on sale now – to purchase advance tickets to any upcoming Bulls home game, call 641-423-4625 or click here.
