The Bulls extended their win streak to 4 games in a row with a win Friday night against the Aberdeen Wings. Big story coming into tonight’s game was Max Scott. Scott received the NAHL Central Division Star of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending March 12, 2023. Scott totaled seven points in the two wins, which included two goals and five assists. Last Friday, Scott had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win. Last Saturday, he had a goal and four assists in a 5-4 win over Minot.
Jack Seaverson opened the scoring at the 13:58 mark of the 1st when he took a breakaway pass and buried one over the low glove side of netminder Cole Moore to take a 1-0 lead.
Aberdeen would answer back with 2 in the 3rd. Halfway through the 3rd, Aberdeen netminder Moore found himself without his stick. Joe Sweeney would patiently circle around the net before firing one on the stick side and tying the game up in the 2nd.
Then less than a minute later, Blake Ulve would take the faceoff and drop the puck back to a waiting Landon Peterson before he would send a shot from the blue line through the 5 hole to put the Bulls up 3-2. Late in the 3rd, Aberdeen would elect to pull their netminder. Logan Dombrowsky would collect the puck and make his way toward the empty net before passing the puck over to Max Scott. Scott would fight off 2 defenders before sending the puck into the empty net for the final goal of the evening.
The Bulls celebrated several achievements following tonight’s game. The Bulls have now won 4 in a row and with tonight’s win goaltender Mitchell Day has won 4 games in a row in his last 4 starts. Logan Dombrowsky also celebrated extending his point streak to 4 games in a row.
Up next for the Bulls is a rematch against Aberdeen on Saturday. The puck drop is slated for 7:10 p.m. Live streaming coverage is available on HockeyTV Presented by Dakota Fix Shelter Insurance.
