Bulls Celebrate Parents, Billets, Outdoors This Weekend

Mar 21, 2022

MASON CITY, Iowa  – This weekend will be one for celebration at the Mason City Arena as the North Iowa Bulls’ home regular-season schedule begins to wind down. Just six home games remain, and North Iowa will celebrate its player parents and billet families at this Friday and Saturday’s games against the Minot Minotauros. Player parents and billet, or host, families will be invited to watch Friday’s game from a hospitality room set up in the Mason City Arena club room, and player and billet parents will be recognized on the ice during the first intermission of Saturday’s game.

This weekend, the Bulls will also celebrate their final jersey auction weekend of the season, celebrating the outdoors – the Bulls’ special jersey design prominently displays a grey camouflage pattern, with navy blue numbers, striping and nameplates. The shoulders of the jerseys are colored in ice-blue, with additional ice-blue and blaze orange accents, trim and striping across the jersey. Outdoor scenes popular during the hockey season, including those of hunting and ice fishing, will be featured on the lower half of each jersey.

The jerseys will be worn for both games this weekend, and will be auctioned off live immediately following Saturday’s game. Fans will also be invited onto the ice following the game that night to skate with their favorite Bulls players. Proceeds from the jersey auction benefit Mason City Parks and Recreation, and their various outdoor activity programs throughout the community.

It is the second specialty jersey auction weekend for North Iowa this season, following the popular Busch Light-themed jersey weekend that closed out the 2021 portion of the home schedule. The Mason City Toros recently held their first-ever jersey auction as well, sporting a stars-and-stripes design.
