Bulls Announce West Division Finals Schedule

Apr 5, 2021

MASON CITY, Iowa – The North Iowa Bulls are in a familiar place as the NA3HL schedule hits its final two weeks, earning a spot in the 2021 Fraser Cup West Division Finals. The Bulls are in their ninth straight division final, having never failed to win a first-round playoff series in their 10 seasons on the ice.

The schedule for this best-of-3 West Division Final series has been locked in, with the Bulls enjoying home-ice advantage against the third-seeded Willmar WarHawks, who stunned second-seeded Granite City with a two-game sweep.

The schedule for this series will look very recognizable to fans who followed North Iowa’s West Division Semifinal series against the Alexandria Blizzard, with Game 1 set for Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Mason City Multipurpose Arena. Due to ice availability concerns in Willmar, Game 2 will be played at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Should the teams need a decisive Game 3 to decide the West Division playoff crown, the Bulls and WarHawks will play on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. back in Mason City. Regardless of how the series ends, this will be the final weekend of hockey this season in Mason City, with the winner advancing to the NA3HL’s Fraser Cup national championship tournament, set for April 14-18 at the St. Peters RecPlex in St. Peters, Missouri.

Tickets for Games 1 and 3 can be purchased online here – if Game 3 is not played, pre-purchased tickets may be converted to credit toward 2021-22 season tickets or North Iowa Bulls merchandise, but cash refunds will not be offered. Admission to all playoff games is included in season ticket packages for this season – however, season-ticket holders will check in with ticket-takers upon entering the arena for playoff games rather than receiving a ticket for entry.

2021-22 season tickets are also on sale for North Iowa’s inaugural season in the North American Hockey League, with a 15-percent early-bird discount set to expire on Wednesday. A 10-percent early-bird discount will remain in effect until April 30, which is also the deadline for returning season-ticket holders to pay in full or place their deposit to keep their seats from this season.
