The North Iowa Bulls would like to announce the full schedule and details for the opening round of the NA3HL's Silver Cup Playoffs.
The top-seeded North Iowa Bulls will face-off against the fourth-seeded Minnesota Flying Aces in the West Division Playoffs. The series format will best 3-out-of-5, with the first two games being played in Mason City at the Barn. Game 1 will be Friday, March 15th @ 7:30PM and Game 2 will be Saturday, March 16th @ 7:30PM. Ticket prices will NOT increase for the games in Mason City, and tickets will remain $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 18 and seniors over 65. If you were a Bulls Season Ticket Holder this season, your reserved seats will still be available in the stands, however, you will need to purchase tickets for admission.
Game 3 will be played in Little Falls, MN on Thursday, March 21st @ 7:05PM. If necessary, Game 4 will also be played in Little Falls, and is scheduled for Friday, March 22nd @ 7:05PM.
If the series requires a 5th and deciding game, it will be played back in Mason City, in the Barn, on Saturday, March 23rd @ 7:30PM. Tickets will also remain the same price for that game.
The winner of this series will advance to the NA3HL Silver Cup Championship Tournament in Geneva, Illinios. The details for that are below, and is directly from the NA3HL website.
Silver Cup Championship
"The NA3HL Silver Cup Championship will feature six teams and be played at the Fox Valley Ice Arena, Geneva, Illinois, from March 27-30. The six divisional semi-final playoff series winners will be placed in two, three-team pools. Teams will be seeded according to their finish in the NA3HL regular season standings. A round-robin format will be used, with the teams playing the other two teams within their pool. The top team in each pool after round-robin play is completed will advance on to play for the Silver Cup Championship. The bottom four teams at the conclusion of round-robin play will be eliminated from the tournament. In the event of a tie after round-robin play, a tie-breaking procedure adopted in the rules and regulations shall be used to break the tie.
Pool A: #1 seed, #3 seed, #6 seed
Pool B: #2 seed, #4 seed, #5 seed
Wednesday, March 27th: #1 Seed vs. #6 Seed, 5:00PM; #2 Seed vs. #5 Seed, 8:00PM
Thursday, March 28th: #3 Seed vs. #6 Seed, 2:00PM; #4 Seed vs. #5 Seed, 5:00PM
Friday, March 29th: #1 Seed vs. #3 Seed, 3:00PM; #2 Seed vs. #4 Seed, 6:00PM
Saturday, March 30th: Silver Cup Championship, Pool A Winner vs. Pool B Winner, 1:00PM.
The winner of the NA3HL Silver Cup will then advance to play in the USA Hockey Tier III Junior National Championship being held in Rochester, Minnesota from April 4-8.
