2020-21 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

MASON CITY, Iowa – The North Iowa Bulls’ home games are just as much about the fun and the atmosphere as they are about the hockey, and even with limited seating, COVID will be just a speed bump on the way to fun evenings at the Mason City Multipurpose Arena. The Bulls organization is proud to announce its initial promotional schedule for the 2020-21 regular season, with the first home game set for Friday, October 2 against the Alexandria Blizzard.

This year’s promotional schedule begins with the home opener on Friday, October 2, with a free magnet schedule giveaway for the first 200 fans in the arena. Several Bulls jerseys will be raffled during the game, and fans will be randomly selected to win prize giveaways throughout the game. Fans can also purchase autographed schedule posters in Brutus’s Locker Room Sponsored by Christie Door Company, or try to beat the odds and catch a free poster as it’s tossed into the crowd.

The promotional slate introduces some new theme nights, including “Hocktoberfest,” with $2 draws and a free mini-stick and puck with any $25 merchandise purchase at the Bulls’ October 17 game against the New Ulm Steel. The Bulls will celebrate “Brews and Boos” with their Halloween game against the Willmar WarHawks on October 31, as kids enjoy trick-or-treating on the concourse and adults enjoy a free koozie with every two beers purchased.

The Bulls will celebrate their “Decade of Dominance” November 6 and 7 against Willmar and Alexandria with special jerseys and appearances from past Bulls players, and by raffling a jersey from the team’s inaugural 2011-12 season.

Thanksgiving is on the schedule for the November 20 and 21 games against New Ulm – the Bulls will be “Thankful For Hockey” in their Friday night affair, with turkey bowling at intermission and a food drive for the Salvation Army. Saturday’s game features a celebration of all things camouflage for “Bucks and Pucks Night,” and fans who make wild game donations to the Salvation Army at that game will receive flex tickets in exchange for their contributions.

“Pets and Pucks Night” returns to the schedule on December 4, as the Granite City Lumberjacks make their return to Mason City, and the Bulls celebrate the Humane Society of North Iowa and make sure the North Iowa area’s cats and canines can have a great Christmas.

The Bulls’ annual “5 For Fighting” promotion returns on December 11 against Alexandria with beer and merchandise specials themed around the number 5, but fans will need to clean up their act by the following night for “Naughty and Nice Night” against Willmar, with appearances from Santa Claus, the Grinch and other beloved holiday characters. The team’s annual Teddy Bear Toss returns that night as well, as the Bulls close out their 2020 home slate.

2021 begins in the River City on Friday, January 22 against Alexandria with “Junior Hockey Jackpot Night,” featuring games of chance galore, and the following night, the Bulls welcome back Willmar for our annual celebration of our Hometown Heroes. The January 29 contest against New Ulm ends the month with MARVELOUS Night, featuring appearances from Bulls fans’ favorite Marvel Comics characters.

It’s a tough year to be a college student, but it gets just a little easier on Friday, February 5 against Granite City, with the Bulls’ “Room and Boarding College Night.” Tickets for college students are just $8 for that game, with a valid college ID. New Ulm returns to Mason City the following night, and so do the dinosaurs, for “Jurassic Night,” featuring a pair of appearances from the prehistoric period.

For the second straight year, North Iowa hits the ice on Valentine’s Day with a special 6:30 p.m. outing against the Willmar WarHawks – the Bulls will celebrate a “Late-Weekend Date Weekend” with special date-night packages to make it a memorable evening out at the game.

The home schedule winds down with the Bulls’ games against Granite City on February 26 and 27 – the Friday night showdown against the Lumberjacks features Mystery and Mayhem, with a celebration of all things hockey and whodunit, the details of which will remain a mystery right up to game night. The annual Fan Appreciation Night for that Saturday evening closes out the schedule.

The Bulls’ 2020-21 promotional schedule is subject to change, and promotions will be added and announced at a later date.
