Alex North Hired as Bulls Assistant Coach

Mason City, IA- The North Iowa Bulls are excited to welcome Alex North back to Mason City as an Assistant Coach.

Coach North returns to Mason City for his second stint behind the Bulls’ bench. He previously served as an Assistant Coach under Todd Sanden in the 2013-14 season. During that season, Coach North helped the Bulls claim a 45-3-1 regular season record, a Western Division Championship, and the 2014 Silver Cup.

Most recently, Coach North served as the Associate Head Coach of the Helena Bighorns in the NA3HL for the 2023-24 season, leading the Bighorns to the Frontier Division Championship and the 2024 Fraser Cup Championship.

Coach North also worked for the NAHL’s Coulee Region Chill as an Assistant Coach for two seasons, and with the NA3HL’s New Ulm Steel as their Head Coach for two seasons alongside former Mason City Toros Assistant Coach and new Bulls Assistant Coach Tommy Adams.

North played NCAA DIII Hockey at St. Mary’s University in Minnesota.

He and his wife, Eliza, are excited to rejoin the Bulls family for the new hockey season!

Coach North will be coaching at the Bulls’ Pre-Draft Camps in Hudson, WI, and Bensonville, IL.
