THIS WEEK’S PROMOTIONS: After playing five games on the road to start the year, North Iowa celebrates its earliest home opener in franchise history. A pregame tailgate party is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., along with live music from Levi Smith, Brent Estlund and Matt Root. Fans will also notice a number of special additions inside
the arena for the 2018-19 season. For a schedule of upcoming promotions, click the “Game Day Fun” link at NorthIowaBulls.com.
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: This is the third straight weekend that New Ulm has played solely on a Saturday night to start its season, and its second straight Saturday night contest against North Iowa. New Ulm began its season with a 5-2 victory two weeks ago against the Breezy Point North Stars. They’ll play another Saturday-only
weekend next week against the Alexandria Blizzard before hosting the Blizzard again on Oct. 12 in their first non-Saturday game of the year.
EARLY EDITION: Tonight’s game is only the second September home game in franchise history, and breaks the team record for the earliest home game by one day. North Iowa opened the 2016-17 season with a Sep. 30 contest in “The Barn,” walloping the Chicago Bulldogs by a 14-1 final tally.
