YOU GET THE POINT: The all-time series between the Bulls and Blizzard has been heavily tilted in favor of the three-time national champs – not only have the Bulls picked up wins in 13 of their last 15 meetings, but North Iowa hasn’t lost a regulation contest to the Blizzard since January 23, 2015. The Bulls have picked up at least one point in the standings in each of their last nine trips to Alexandria, but the two teams have played an overtime contest in four of the six seasons where they’ve faced each other.

GETTING HOT WHEN IT’S COLD: Alexandria has gotten on a roll in the month of January, winning six of their seven games since the calendar flipped to January. North Iowa’s 6-2 win on the Blizzard’s home ice two weeks ago marks the only loss in that stretch. This game continues a five-game homestand for Jeff Crouse’s team.
