BULLS VS. WAUSAU ALL-TIME: 6-0-0

SCORE OF THE CENTURY: With a couple of huge periods against Wausau on Sunday, North Iowa heads into the postseason having scored more than 100 goals in both the second and third periods this season, and they tallied 98 goals in the first period of their regular-season games in 2017-18. The Bulls are one of only two teams to score 100 goals in two different periods this season – in fact, regular-season league champ Binghamton scored 111-plus in every period this past year.

FLY LIKE AN EAGLE: This week, it’s the Wausau RiverWolves making news with their first-ever college commitment, and it goes to NA3HL veteran Ron Rentner. The first-year RiverWolf is wrapping up his second junior season after playing all of last year with the Wisconsin Whalers, and starting this year with the Whalers as
well. He’s tallied 24 points this season and joins a Robert Morris program in Illinois that entered the postseason ranked sixth in the top division of ACHA hockey.

A SKY FULL OF STARS: A big week at the offensive end of the rink helped third-year Bull and North Iowa captain Shane Bernhardson nab his second Bauer NA3HL Central Division Star of the Week award earlier this week – Bernhardson played the role of the setup man against the RiverWolves in their meeting on Sunday with four assists to go along with a second-period goal, but he was an offensive closer for Todd Sanden’s team against New Ulm on  Saturday, with two goals. It’s North Iowa’s 10th Star of the Week award as a group this year.
