Bill Yuill is Chairman and CEO of The Monarch Corporation, a private holding company with corporate offices in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The Company has four operating divisions in communications, transportation, project financing and sports properties.
Since 1977 the sports property division, CSH International, Inc., has owned and operated 10 sports franchises in various leagues, with nine located in the U.S.A and one in Canada. In addition to the Everett Silvertips (Western Hockey League), the Company currently operates the Bloomington Thunder (United States Hockey League), Amarillo Bulls (North American Hockey League), the North Iowa Bulls (North American Tier III Hockey League) and the Medford Rogues Baseball Club (Great West League).
Bill presently is a Director of two Canadian public companies – Shaw Communications Inc. of Calgary, Alberta and Western Financial Group of High River, Alberta. He serves as a Director of McKenzie Meadows Golf Club, is a member of the Foundation of St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, Ontario and serves as a Governor of the Western Hockey League.
In 1995, he received the Milner Fenerty “Pinnacle Award” in Calgary and in 2006 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Lethbridge.
He is a graduate of the Young President’s Organization, Alberta Chapter and is a member and past chairman of the World President’s Organization, Alberta Chapter.
Bill has been involved in community organizations including the Medicine Hat College Foundation, the Medicine Hat and District United Way and the Medicine Hat Family YMCA. He also served on the Alberta Economic Development Authority.
Bill and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
