North Iowa downs Wisconsin, 5-2

Carmen Dalesandro registered two points to lead North Iowa to a 5-2 victory over Wisconsin.

North Iowa kept Wisconsin\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Max McConnell made 45 saves on 50 shots.

North Iowa also got points from Kohei Sato, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Quinn Fuchs, who also had one goal and one assist. North Iowa also had goals scored by Sean Mallonee and Brett Gravelle, who each put in one. More assists for North Iowa came via Owen Larson and Joe Burgmeier, who contributed one each and Adam Orn and Connor Bump, who each chipped in two.

Wisconsin\’s offense operated below its season average. Wisconsin averages 5.3 goals per game.

Wisconsin was led by Ben Ratner, who finished with one goal and one assist. Ratner scored 15:22 into the third period to make the score 5-2 North Iowa. Zachary Ross picked up the assist. Wisconsin also got a goal from Connor Boscaccy as well. In addition, Wisconsin received assists from Caleb Vosters and Jake McNamara, who contributed one each.

North Iowa\’s David Johnson stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. North Iowa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Wisconsin incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
