North Iowa beats Breezy Point 2-0 as Moran gains shutout

Jordan Moran recorded a shutout against the Breezy Point North Stars as the North Iowa Bulls picked up a 2-0 win.

North Iowa was sparked by Joe Kleven, who racked up one goal. Kleven scored on the power play 10:27 into the second period to make the score 1-0 North Iowa. The Bulls had gotten the advantage when Breezy Point\’s Felix Conrads was sent off for cross checking. Johnny Panvica provided the assist.

North Iowa stifled the North Stars\’ power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls\’ offense rang up 45 shots on Breezy Point\’s net.

North Iowa also got a goal from Joe Burgmeier as well. In addition, North Iowa received assists from John Chorzempa and Soren Colstrup, who each chipped in one.

The North Stars did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Breezy Point puts an average of 2.4 pucks into the net per game.

Jordan Moran made 27 saves for North Iowa on 27 shots. The Bulls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joe Licata rejected 43 shots on goal for the North Stars. Breezy Point incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
