Kothenbeutel nets hat trick, leads Granite City to 5-3 win over North Iowa

The North Iowa Bulls could not stop the Granite City Lumberjacks\’ Travis Kothenbeutel, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-3 win.

Kothenbeutel\’s first goal came 14:31 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:45 into the third and at 19:34 into the third.

Granite City pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

The Lumberjacks kept North Iowa\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris Amsden made 26 saves on 31 shots.

Granite City additionally got points from David Kenney, who also had one goal and two assists. Granite City also got a goal from Jared Sprink as well. More assists for Granite City came via Tanner Skaja, who had two and Mitchell Gwost, David Horsmann, and Dallas Marvin, who contributed one each.
