Jonasson to Amarillo

Nov 21, 2012

North Iowa Bulls forward Conor Jonasson had a very good main camp for the Amarillo Bulls. Jonasson, a West Fargo, ND native and graduate from the Belle Tire U18 Midget Major program came to the North Iowa Bulls hoping to get a call up by the NAHL Amarillo Bulls at some point this season. With injuries plaguing the Big Bulls, Jonasson got the call. Amarillo assistant coach Rocky Russo inquired about Jonasson in an early morning text to North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden and by 8am Conor was packing his car for the trip south. Jonasson mentioned, "It was clear that Amarillo and North Iowa worked close, coach Sanden was at the Amarillo main camp and I knew if I was going to get up there he would help make that happen. It's an opportunity that I hope to capitalize on but understand that they (Amarillo) need a forward or two right now so I am just going to go there and work as hard as I can to help them continue winning." The North Iowa Bulls wish Conor good luck with Amarillo. "This is how the relationship between the NAHL and 3HL should work. I support our players when opportunities like this arise. It is what makes the 3HL the best Tier 3 league around." – Coach Sanden
