West Division Star of the Week: Johnny Panvica, forward, North Iowa Bulls
North Iowa Bulls leading scorer Johnny Panvica, 19, helped the Bulls stay tied for the top spot in the West Division with a weekend home sweep of the Minnesota Flying Aces, where the Bulls erupted for 18 goals in the two wins. Panvica (5’8/175) had seven points during the weekend and was a +5. On Friday, the native of Bloomington, MN, had two goals and three assists in an 8-0 win over the Flying Aces. The next night, Panvica scored two more goals in a 10-3 win. In 36 games this season, Panvica leads the Bulls with 55 points. "Johnny continues to be a reliable contributor offensively due to hard work and great chemistry with his linemates,” said North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden.
