Bulls Falter in 3rd, Granite City Takes Division Title

Feb 28, 2012

The North Iowa Bulls came to the ice a little cold on the 26th in the game against Granite City.  With the Bulls playing their first game in 15 days, it was no wonder the score wasn’t in the Bulls favor.

The Bulls trailed by 2 goals into the second period before forward Eric Behrend scored off a faceoff. That goal was quickly followed by another from defensemen Noah Anderson.

Granite City scored four goals to solidify the win. The Bulls lost the game 6-2.

The Bulls have 4 regular season games remaining, with 3 of those games having the home ice advantage. North Iowa hosts Quad City on Saturday and Sunday, and then Minnesota on the 10th.

The North Iowa Bulls also only need one more point to clinch 2nd in the Western Division.
