Bulls Fall Short Against League Leading Granite City

The North Iowa Bulls traveled take on league leader Granite City Lumberjacks on Saturday, December 10.

 Both teams came out strong in the first period and neither team was willing to back down. As the horn sounded at the end of one, the Bulls found themself in a scoreless game.

 With the score at zeros at the start of the second period Granite City was able to get on the scoreboard on a powerplay five minutes into the period. However, North Iowa Bulls forward Eric Behrend was able to score late into the second period as Ryan McAloon and Tyler Torkelson assisted on the goal. The second period would end with the score tied 1-1.

 The third period saw some intense play from the Bulls. With the score tied 1-1 neither team wanted to give up the go ahead goal. Granite City scored halfway through the third period giving them a 2-1 lead. North Iowa would not be able to tie the score in the third and fell to the Lumberjacks 2-1.
